Galveston Tax Office

Today I had to register a couple of vehicles at the Galveston Tax Office which shares a building with the local courts. The entire front of the building is fenced off for construction, so I entered thru the rear entrance (I had already disarmed in the car). At this rear entrance they had the "no guns" buster sign but the front entrance, that I mentioned earlier, had a 30.06 sign. This sign was actually black adhesive letters on clear glass in both English and Spanish that looked to be the correct size. However, IMHO it doesn't contrast very well on clear glass. There was also a GC Sheriff's deputy at a desk near the entrance doing more info desk stuff and talking on his mobile phone....but I felt safe ;-)

So to make a long story short I was able to take care of my business and I actually got to see my 2nd 30.06 sign (the other was at the entrance to the Reliant Center's Gun Show back in May).

Thanks!

ps. This is my first post here!
