Not advisable. You have no way of knowing weather or not the computer system will show you as a CHL holder yet, and you are required to carry plastic on you while carrying anyway. Do you want to risk losing the license before you even have it in hand?Texasfinest wrote:I have a question to ask. Well I know it has probably asked already but I'll ask anyway lol. will i get in trouble if i carry and I don't have my license on my persons. waiting on the mailman to come Tuesday is killing me!

Also need your toolbar at the bottom set on autohide.Teamless wrote:just learn the "Alt-Tab" and make sure you have another window open, so Alt-Tab will put your other screen on top in an instant
None of this does me any good since TexasCHLForum is blocked at work.

Re: June 2010 applications
This was the worst part of my wait. Thinking that your application is still sitting in a pile in the mail room. Once I got status, everything seemed to move along nicely.cableguy wrote:2 1/2 weeks and still no status online at all. I guess the person that has my app. is on vacation.

Re: June 2010 applications
Plastic arrived yesterday!!!
Today I started my first day as a legally armed citizen by doing the ATM amble, moved on to the repair shop shuffle to get my inspection done, then on the the legendary Wally Walk to pick up a new knife, and topped off my morning with a Wataburger Waddle. After work, the wife and I went on my "official" Wally Walk where I grabbed stuff from the top and bottom shelf, hefted a 40# bag of dog food into the basket, and stood in the impatient husband position while she tried on shoes. We picked up the obligitory Hawiian shirt, then I dropped some stuff on the floor and had to do the self conscious bend at the knees to pick it back up. Really the Wally Walk(s) were the easy part, I was much more self conscious at Wataburger.

Re: June 2010 applications
I believe what helped is a) I have lived in worked in the same county for ever and b) the one run in I have had with the law, I went down to the courthouse and got a certified copy of the disposition and sent it in with my application.

It feels good to know that your application at least made it out of the mailroom and onto someone's desk.VMaxer wrote:Well, I'm in the database...

I picked up a new holster yesterday. I'm trying out the Ultimate Second Amendment for my Ruger LCP. Pocket holster won't do because most of my pants pockets aren't deep enough.
Hoefully some of us "June Bugs" won't be far behind you.

Not yet, but if her plastic comes in first, I may go stay with my parents until mine gets in.Texas Size 11 wrote:I hope she isn't rubbing it in...my wife would be rubbing it in.canvasbck wrote:My wife and I sent our packets in on the same day, her fingerprints changed to complete on Friday.

I wouldn't worry about this too much. I wasn't far behind you on mailing in app and I got the letter yesterday.budroux2w wrote:You know, I still haven't even gotten my letter from DPS saying they received my application. Don't need it, just think it's funny that they got it about a month ago and no letter.

Re: June 2010 applications
I have discovered something that makes the wait even worse. My wife and I got our supertucks in today (without any lifesavers ) . Now I'm packing around the house and I have to take it off to go to the store. This is torture.........waterboarding would be easy.
