My primary carry gun is a Beretta, M96f Inox. Just over 7k rounds through it and haven't seen the first malfunction yet. It eats whatever ammo I feed it and new shooters have limp wristed it with no problems. Also super accurate. I'm not a big fan of the PX4 Storms but the 92/96 lines are fine guns. Watch a few videos of Ben Stoeger and see how a Beretta 92f can run.v-rog wrote:and when they move and re-tool, maybe they can come out with a line of pistols that are actually worth buying.
My IDPA gun is an M&P that has malfunctioned a few times, not a lot but it does happen. Might have something to do with the fact that I clean the carry gun regularly and only clean the competition gun before a major match or when it gets so gummed up that I have trouble getting the mags to drop out of it.
From what I have observed as an SO in IDPA matches, Beretta 92/96, if kept clean, is as reliable as Glocks, M&P's, and XD's. They are, IMO, more reliable than many 1911's out there now.
