Sounds good to me. How much is a membership? I work for the BOP. I am not very far from that range.

Those are the only 2 "incidents" I have had with carrying. Like I said, I don't leave the house with "testing" every holster now, (sitting, standing, shaking, stretching, jogging, wiggling, etc....)

Did NOT work continued,

Back in 1997, right after I got my CHL, I bought a Uncle Mikes "Pro Pack Undercover" holster, for my Browning High Power 9mm. It came with a nice set of instructions, I did NOT read them. I put the straps and buckles on the holster, put it on, and slid my trusty high power in and went out wearing a denim jacket to cover it all.

While I was out wearing my new holster, I felt the holster was "moving". Being new to the Concealed carry thing at the time, I just thought I needed to "break in" my new holster. I was at wal-mart (stop laughing) when I needed something on the top shelf. So I just stepped forward, stepped onto the lower shelf and reached my left arm straight UP towards the top shelf. At this exact moment my high power went straight DOWN, along with the holster and those pesky straps!!

I jumped down and grabbed the "escaping pistol" with both hands. I tucked it all back under my denim jacket and made a bee line for the front door and back out to my car. Remember those buckles? Turns out I did not put them on right the first time. Looking back on that day, I probably looked like a shoplifter making a quick get away that day!! I ordered a Uncle Mikes "Vertical Holster" the very same day. I can asure you I READ those instructions front to back, back to front, and "tested" every holster since then for "proper weapon retention".

"This did NOT work for me"

Last winter I decided to wear my Galco Miami Classic shoulder holster while my wife & I were to go christmas shopping. I use this holster to carry my full size HK USP .40. I added a +2 to the 13rd mag in the weapon. I noticed when I put the +2 on the mag, it went ON very easy.

While in the mall my wife "bumped" into me. She knew I was carrying, but what she did NOT KNOW was when she bumped into me, the +2 on my mag came off VERY EASILY!! Instantly I had 15rds of Speer Gold Dot's (155's) flying inside my leather jacket, along with the mag spring and follower. I quickly pinned my left arm down and used my right hand to help hold the mess I had in my jacket together. My wife looks at me and asks, "Are you OK?" I whisper to her what just happened. Now she is starting to laugh.

I found a bathroom and stepped into a stall and fixed my mess. No one at the mall noticed what happned. I no longer use a +2 on my USP .40.
