Doing this because I had a similar issue with the screws coming loose.
Luckily, I've never had a problem. They do make screwdriver bits specifically for that:

Not at all. First, the sights are not really adjustable. In fact, they are virtually snagless combat sights. They are "windage adjustable" by drifting the rear sight in the dovetail, as are most pistol sights.

The beavertail is a non-issue. The only size difference between a full-size and a commander is that the barrel & slide are only 3/4" shorter.

I carry a commander every day. The biggest difference between mine and his Ruger are that mine has an aluminum frame and the grip has been bobbed... IOW, mine's a "bobtail commander".

Re: My New Ruger SR1911 Commander

I use blue locktite to secure the grip screw bushings to the frame & then just snug down the grip screws.

I've thought about buying rubber O-rings for them but, honestly, I would be fixing a problem I've never had with any of my 1911s. :headscratch

For anyone who wants the O-rings, here is a thread about them on the COTEP forum: http://www.cotep.org/forum/showthread.php?t=5489
