OK. That pretty much rules out anything inside the pistol. The safety detent is actually a ball bearing & spring. You can see the ball bearing on the left side of the pistol. The left safety lever is the only thing holding the ball in. Get some lube on that ball & work the safety on & off a bunch of times. UNLOADED, of course.Canon1d4 wrote:Thanks for the advice, I just tried that but it is the same, it may be that it's just tight and will work itself out in time.Pawpaw wrote:My P938 had the same problem after I loaned it out. Try this: With the hammer cocked, the safety is hard to engage. Pull the hammer back and hold it. Does the safety engage easily? That''s the way mine behaved with the broken sear pin.

Re: Does anyone carry a Sig P938?
The trick is to buy it right. I got mine from a forum member for just a little more than a new LC9S (which didn't exist then).jed wrote:I want one. But in the meantime, I bought two new LC9S for the price of one P938. I really like the LC9S and it conceals good but there's just something about the P938. All metal and 1911 style.......one day I will be carrying one.mrvmax wrote:The only downfall I can think of is the price.

Re: Does anyone carry a Sig P938?
The 938 does have pretty stout recoil, but the 238 is a cream puff.
The offer stands. Just let me know.

Re: Does anyone carry a Sig P238?
I have the 238 and 938. If you would like, we can meet up somewhere and you and your wife can shoot both of them.RPBrown wrote:Looking at the 9mm version. Are any of your 9mm?
Okay, I just saw where I put the 238 instead of 938 in the heading. Sorry. She liked the 938
