Enough people had questions about it that Mythbusters tested it.Mxrdad wrote:HUH???? This is insane. LOL. Ya know, these kind of movies are very likely the driving force behind the gun ignorance in Hollyweird. I can just imagine the younger folks watching this nonsense and believing that "bullets" can turn corners like this.K5CLC wrote:I made it through this entire thread without the movie WANTED being mentioned. If it was, i missed it. Color me surprised!
But as far as movie mistakes, it has to be this movie. The idea that you can train yourself to curve the trajectory of a bullet around walls, cars, people, like a billiard trick shot..in mid air. If Jerry Miculek hasn't done it (and if anyone could, HE could) then it's just good movie watching.

In "The Sons of Katie Elder", the Duke and his three brothers are under siege by the bad guys. The sheriff, who has been disarmed, is standing by a creek. One of the brothers throws him a pistol. The sheriff jumps up & out to catch it. In mid-flight, he is shot by one of the bad guys. Instead of continuing forward, the bullet knocks him backwards. He hits the ground right back where he jumped from, only now he's dead.george wrote:In "Back to Bataan", none other than John Wayne asked his fellow soldier for a CLIP for his Thompson smg.
In another Duke movie, I believe it was "Comancheros", set in 1840's, where everyone is using Colt 1873 pistols and Winchesters.
