Re: My Guns Are Pretty (And Safer Than Your Tattoos)

The two best quotes I saw in the whole article
"Whenever I am given a gun as a gift from a gun manufacturer or gun enthusiast I express my gratitude by giving a gun to someone who does not own one."
"I just don’t think someone who gets his first gun will remain in the Democratic Party much longer."
Can I get an AMEN! :chldancing

As far as the feminist situation is concerned, I see nothing wrong with the movement when not taken to extremes. Standing up for rights and freedoms of your sex, race, or religion is a good thing when not taken to extremes.
IMHO the extremists are the real problem with the world today. Society dictates everyday that there is no middle ground with beliefs anymore. Either you're far right, or far left... There is no exception. You're either pro-gun, or anti-gun. In the past you could just not care about the issue either way. If you didn't like guns, you didn't own them. Now, if you don't like guns you must ban and/or destroy them all. That is why the governments and media's of the world control the common citizens. Governments seek to divide us by creating extremes in our personal belief systems. I have known several Democrats that were close friends of mine. For the most part we had very similar opinions of guns, abortion, personal rights and freedoms, as well as issues we agreed could go either way and be fine. Don't get me wrong, we didn't agree on everything. We however didn't hold those personal beliefs (our right as Americans, as far as I knew) against each other. Now, because of more recent extremes in their party, they refuse to talk to me because I am a Republican. I'm the bad guy because of the party I support? Are they bad too, because of the same reason? The only thing I think they've done wrong is fall for the media's peer pressure to follow and not lead. Why the extremes?
I'll tell you why... A nation divided... you can fill in the blanks for yourself
Get us arguing amongst ourselves, and we will turn a blind eye to the government and their agenda.
 Sorry for the rant, I just got done talking with the friend I mentioned in this post. He told me it would be better for us to not talk again, as our views are too different to not fight over. After 15 years of close friendship no less...
It has become a sad world that we live in.
