LAD / LADy: Legal/Licensed And concealeD. I had my lad (or my lady) at 4:00 and the man was standing at 2:00 and didn't notice.
CANDLE: Concealed AND LEgal. I can't believe I was in the middle of a storm and didn't have any candles in sight! I'm a candle-bearer now and always keep the candle burning bright!

COuCH: COnCealed Handgun. "It is a chair?" "No, it's a couch."

I kinda like candle-bearer for CHL holder. The symbolism of candles (underground railway, a light in the darkness, etc) is kinda neat.

So far, the legions are posting spit cans so the lethal force can exercise their 2A rights in places that management thinks they can't, and a secret hi sign and shake includes the phrase, "It is a chair?"

Any additions or amendments? I'd suggest that lethal is not the best choice for CHL holders because of the negative implications. Something sunshiney and peaceful that implies one hopes not to use the concealed handgun (hey! there's a phrase needing a good cover word, too) would be better for PR, don't you think?

I was thinking of this acronym thing just yesterday, in particular thinking that "CHL holder" really ought to have some sort of catchy phrase. You know, like California Highway Patrol has CHiPs. But CHaLs just doesn't sounds as good so I was branching out and looking for other options and that's how I came across this great acronym creator.

It seems like we can come up with names for these and any other common phrases used around here. Might I suggest that we start with the consideration of Legions: LEague of Gunners who Intentionally pOst Noncompliant Signs?
