Being funneled into a parking lot under the color of authority deprives me of my liberty; specifically in this case, my liberty to travel freely, and not be stopped or detained when I have not violated the law. I think we could also make the argument that such detention has a cost to us, in some specific cases, a direct cost (e.g. having to pay for being late to an appointment, or having to waste time waiting longer because you were stopped and made late), which was imposed without due process or compensation.No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation

I have a right to go where I want when I want if I am not violating the law. I have the right to make such travel unimpeded by authority. I don't have to answer to any authority when I have not violated any law. All the ways the police violated the right of people, essentially, to be left alone, has already been described in detail by others posting and to pretend otherwise is disingenuous.The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
