I think many, if not most, pizza guys now carry some sort of weapon, company policy or no.
The managers know this and don't mention it.
Everyone knows if the driver uses a weapon to defend himself, the company has to disavow his actions and fire them.
That's the rules. Driver protects himself, company protects itself
