I personally would not mind if a LEO wanted to run my numbers...Hell, I would be more than happy to make my weapon safe for him to handle.
I have several firearms that I purchased in FTF transactions. Yes the CHL basically states that we have no criminal records and all that, but that does not mean the firearm that we LEGALLY purchased from another individual isn't stolen. Not all criminals are the shady gangsta crack head you know.
