Re: New range in Liberty Hill?
I have found more pictures strewn across the net and it appears to still be in construction phase, but then I have never been to an open(free roaming) range before. I am excited to get to move about some and practice more than just point and squeeze. I will say this place looks to have unfounded pot...

Re: Keeping a Weapon in my car at work.
Doesn't verbal notification fall under "he said, she said"? As a gov emp I am very aware that if it's not on paper with your J. Hancock at the bottom, it never happened. or in some cases the issuer of the verbal signs a statement and has a witness sign as well. Any thoughts from the legal ...

Re: New range in Liberty Hill?
Would it be possible for someone to take some pictures of this place and post them? for those not in the area and dont want to make the drive for nothing. Don't get me wrong, this place "sounds" nice but I've only seen one pic of the place done and it didn't show much. 1) $6/$16 is not a l...

Re: Drawing weapon to scare threat away
My instructor repeated through out the class "gun comes out, gun goes bang", clearly a good theory but back to scaring off an attacker. If he is unarmed and we fight to the death, at what point do I draw to save myself? when I have lost depth perception? when I can barely lift my arm? I do...

Re: Poll: How many rounds do you carry?
I carry a tactical messenger bag, its a small pouch(bigger than a fanny pack) with many pockets/loops etc. I keep over 100 rounds with a few loaded mags. the only reason for the excess is because this doubles as a personal item carry and a small range bag/CCW holder. I can go everywhere with this ba...

Re: Hypothetical Situation: At your favorite restaurant
Protecting somebody elses money is not something I would even consider doing. Under the initial situation mentioned I would assume that it is being robbed by a junkie who just needs money for another fix and is going to hit and run, he is going to take whatever is handed to him and head out the doo...

Re: Hypothetical Situation: At your favorite restaurant
then why own a gun? why not tazers or pepper spay? they seem to suit you, better yet just softly spout "please don't" in their general direction.Embalmo wrote:I've never drawn or fired on a (human) threat and it is my goal to maintain both those perfect records.

Re: Hypothetical Situation: At your favorite restaurant
The problem with armed robbers if this is his first it wouldn't be his last. If it's not his first then he may fire on the crowd for effect. I would be too close to him to expect that I or loved one might not be hit. right on brother! :cheers2: if we let them do it once they will do it twice! next ...

Re: Hypothetical Situation: At your favorite restaurant
ok, first of all all of you who wait the situation out have lost all you best opportunities. on Sept. 11th two planes full of people waited the situation out, the third had some that did not. you say you don't want to be a "hero" but you are not even going to be proactive about your own sa...
