Re: What really counts as notice
By State of Texas, it was implying chl or other forms of authorization. The other big one was director level and above can authorize. I take that to mean that I can authorize myself.

Yes, verbal and second hand to me, however it was through my chain of command.

Re: What really counts as notice
So some more information I found out today. HR has been pushing to have this added as policy for a while now, however the owners have been saying no. HR is claiming it is an insurance issue, however they don't have anything in writing, just hearsay. Until the owner see's something, it will not be po...

Re: What really counts as notice
"C" level as in an executive officer of the company. I have discussed this with him previously and he stated that it is not in the employee handbook for the simple reason that it is not company policy. The company is very conservative and right leaning. In this case, it is just the hr mana...

Re: What really counts as notice
I was more concerned over the fact that she said both the building and the company prohibit carry even though people above her pay grade seemingly endorse it. What gives a person the authority to give notice to someone else. If anybody can do so, does that mean that an hourly employee can come in on...

What really counts as notice
So today I was in a conversation with an HR manager at work. We were discussing the fact that a new employee handbook was coming out in January. The manager mentioned that she was putting something in the manual regarding open carry in the office. We started talking about that a little and she then ...

Re: clear weapon before surrendering it to LEO?
Very good info. Thank you all. In my case, I carry on my right side in a crossbreed supertuck and it would be very difficult if not impossible for them to disarm me while I was still in my vehicle. I am a pretty big guy and unless he was 7 feet tall and had elastic arms, it just would not work out. ...

clear weapon before surrendering it to LEO?
Hypothetical question. If someone is pulled over and asked to surrender their weapon, should the magazine be removed and the chamber cleared, or would this action be alarming to a Leo? I have always been taught to do this before handing my weapon over to anyone, period. I do not want to be responsib...

Re: Crossbreed - Delivery Time?
Just got mine in today, so just 1 day short of 6 weeks. It is very comfortable to wear compared to my old one. I really like the feel of the horsehide leather. I may order some different hooks later on so it can be concealed better. The standard ones that come with it are very noticeable.

Re: Crossbreed - Delivery Time?
Current time looks like 7 weeks or longer. I ordered mine Feb21. When I ordered it, I was told 3-4 weeks for delivery time. Last week when it did not arrive, I called to check the status and they said 5-6 weeks. Now that it has been 5 weeks, I called to check again and they are saying another 2 week...

Re: Motorist protection act and atv's
I was going to include snowmobiles, but the snowmobile market just isn't that big, I wouldn't think, in Texas. Besides, I think OHV kind of includes them anyway.

Re: Motorist protection act and atv's
Ok, so lets just forget about the entire riding them on the road deal and focus on the main issue of being able to carry while riding... anywhere on an atv. How about if I am riding (theoretically) someplace public where it is legal to ride one. I think that the motorist protection act should cover ...

Re: Motorist protection act and atv's
I just got a letter back from Flynn and an email from Guillen over the weekend. Most of it was the standard form letter response, but they did read the letter enough to respond to certain parts of it. I have posted this on a couple of ATV web sites, but I have not gotten as much response back as I w...

You said soft balls I knew it was a toy, but I immediately started hearing the wizzing sound of flying projectiles(soft balls?). That darn thing was shooting in full blast soft balls in my direction.: To me, that means a gun like this one. http://trus.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pTRU1-2910321...
