I believe a great gunbelt can make a crummy holster tolerable, but a crummy gunbelt will make a great holster uncomfortable.

I am a similar shape. I'll wear my full size M&P in either a Crossbreed Supertuck or a Comp-Tac Minotaur and it conceals effortlessly. Quality gunbelt makes a huge difference as well. If I am not wearing my M&P then I am carrying a full size 5" 1911.
