I agree with Keith about handgunlaw.us, but I'd also like to point out the NRA-ILA.org website also has a great section on interstate travel as well as gun laws by state.

In other states that do not have the elegance of defining the 30.06 language, if posting a no guns sign has force of law, simply hanging up a brown paper grocery sack with "No Guns" scribbled in crayon would constitute legal notice. Most place literally define zero requirements.
Personally, I like Kentucky's approach. A business can post "no guns" but it has zero force of law. If they want to eject you for trespassing, they have to ask you to leave in the presence of a police officer and the police officer has to hear you persistently refuse to leave when asked to do so.
