I got a van that's 11 years old and a truck that's 29 years old. Had to do a little deal with the credit union on the van in 2004, but it's long ago paid off. I pay monthly bills, still got a few years left on the mortgage, and I got suckered into buying a travel trailer, but the payments are cheap. Heckuva lot more every year than renting a room and bording the dogs, but that's a domestic issue with SWMBO. Don't ask!Keith B wrote:You should try it sometime. That new car smell is great. That is until you throw up in it after you get your payment book from the loan company and realize you can't really afford it.Bullwhip wrote:Thanks, that explains why I didn't know it. Never bought a brand new car, doubt I ever will!Keith B wrote:Yes, a new car can get a 2 year inspection sticker.

Re: Pulled Over by DPS
Off topic, couple of days ago I saw an inspection sticker that expires 7/12. Huh? More than a year out?
It wasn't the cowboy on a bronco sticker, it was blue-ish and the shape of Texas, it wasn't the registration sticker either.
Are there counties that have 2 year inspections?
