TSA Screener

Every time I think of the start up problems they had with TSA Screeners, school teachers, bus drivers, and ...

Problems like convicted felons and "undocumented workers".

I think the solution is to require those folks to get a CHL.

No CHL
you can't work with kids or be in other positions of responsibility.

rent a gun consession at the airport

I could just imagine this conversation:

You have a CHL but forgot your gun?
WHAT THE HECK WERE YOU THINKING?
Go over to the Hertz Rent-A-Gun counter and rent one, then come back to this line.

Almost everyone

I part ways with almost everyone on the 2nd Amendment

In fact only about 1/2 the folks I run into at the range are with me (or past me) on the 2nd.

(Among other things, I think CHL holders (and All LEO's) should be required to carry on airlines.)

TSRA

I just asked Jim Dark about this.

I asked him if we could work through one of our legislatures and get a ruling from the Texas AG's office.

He is considering it.

Just a note.
If you are doing "Car Carry" without a CHL. DO NOT explain to the LEO your travel plans.

Harris County DA was on KSEV AM 700 this morning

I only caught part of the segment but the DA doesn't want citizens with any firearms in the car.

He gave the impression that even long guns were illegal. Or maybe that was the host Ed Hendey.

He doesn't like the new law, and based on the comments I heard, he wants Harris County to test the new law in the courts.
