I have both a G26 and a G19.

The G26 is noticeably less accurate for me, but I can still get all rounds into a silouette at 10 yards regardless, so it should get the job done if needed.

No noticeable difference in felt recoil for me, although my wife notices more recoil with the 26, so probably only an issue if you are otherwise somewhat recoil sensitive (my wife also dislikes the recoil from my G19).

For me, the G26 is noticeably easier to conceal because of the shorter grip. I can bend over without any printing at all with the 26, but I get some printing if I bend over carrying the 19 under just a T-shirt. The 19 also prints if the wind blows my T-shirt against my body. The 26 doesnt extend past my hip, so there is really no printing concern. For this reason, the 26 is my EDC in the summer (now) and the 19 is my EDC when I can get away with wearing a light jacket.

I can pocket carry the 26 if I am wearing pants / shorts with BIG pockets. I wouldn't try to ankle carry a G26. A J-frame is the biggest I am comfortable with on my ankle.
