That makes a lot of sence Bart. I like that.Bart wrote:Most of this would go away if Texas lowered the fees to bring them in line with Utah and many other shall issue states. If legislators want to fix the so-called Utah problem, that's the best way to do it.

Re: CHL or not??
Correct me if I am wrong (and I am sure you will): It is okay for you to determine who gets a CHL and 2A rights, but no one should deprive you of yours? I tried reading your post a few times to get the gist of what you are saying, but I just don't get it. On the issue of Utah and Texas permits to c...

Re: Beginning the break-in process for new gun
Before I go shoot any new gun, I clean and lube the mess out of it. My 1911's I work the action and dry fire them several times. Take it apart and wipe the rails down, relube and do it all again for about 100 rounds or more. Clean and lube it again but dont use much lube this time and go shoot. I do...

Preemption Law
As we all know, Texas gun laws are preemption law. I recently found out that the San Antonio City Council made a City Ordinance banning loaded rifles inside of vehicles on San Antonio city streets. :rules: This doesnt seem like a good idea to enforce when Texas rifles laws fall under preemption law....

Re: The Squirrels are coming
I have a home in about 10 miles from Trinity and I don’t think I could buy enough ammo to deter the squirrels. I get enough to eat, but that’s about all I can do. I guess I am fortunate to never have had them in the house. Yup. East from you off of 287. Hundreds of the buggers. Been thinking about ...

It's no accident that every instance linked by i8godzilla benefits the Dems. It is rare to hear of any wrong doing that would have a pro-Republican effect. But then, the Democrats have more than a century's head start to learn the craft. Go back to organized crime controlling the unions, or to corp...

Oh Yeah, been down that road already on my other 1911 and front sight fit. Novak really not a very good service company from my experience. Therefore, not going with them again. Gary I really like Trijicon. You might try them next time. Also Brownells will be very helpful when ordering parts. If yo...

Hey HoustonSy, I like shooting stuff as much as anybody, but a good laugh is hard to beat. I think this would provide endless entertainment for all ages and safe for all age groups. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3Ya6z-NlDo&feature=related" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: CHL or not??
Here is the biggest problem I have with the State CHL mess. I know several people who like to provoke people and present themselfs in a negative manner. These people all have CHL's and I attempted to report them to the DPS in Austin. I won't be bashful. I think that statement threw me off. Perhaps ...

Re: The Squirrels are coming
Squirrels are showing up in our maturing oak trees. I've purchased some Aquila .22 Super Colibri ammo to eliminate some of the buggers. The ammo is primer only and subsonic, less than 600 fps. It measures to be Long, not Long Rifle. I intend to use the ammo in my Ruger Mark II pistol. Only unknown ...
