Urgent read! HB 149
Last week I was on vacation in rural Virginia visiting one of my daughter's families and while riding over the Potomac near Harper's Ferry noticed a HUGE new DHS prison camp that had been built in the last two years since I had been that way. This camp was in a very rural area probably between 75 an...

US Senate S.843 - Contact our senators
Noticed there is still little or no ammo on the shelves? Wonder why? DHS is buying it all. They are in the process of buying another 3/4 of a billion rounds. WHY? BECAUSE THEY CAN. What are YOUR elected officials doing about it. NOTHING. Well, one of them is. Sen. Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma has sponsore...

My child works for a financial institution in a back office position. They are moving to a location where there is perceived less security than the current location and my child works evening hours. She expressed interest in a CHL but was told by her company that it was impossible to carry because a...

Re: Need 22lr Target Pistol Advice
Which pistol you choose should reflect the purpose. I carry a Bersa Plus 380 15+1. I own a Firestorm (Bersa) 22LR which has exactly the same size/weight/shape and feel and practice drawing, shooting from different positions and such with the 22LR because of the cost of ammo. I have a Ruger 22/45 MKI...

in the automobile?
I have been a permit holder for awhile. It is my understanding that the law has changed a bit regarding being pulled over and needing to inform the leo. Is this true? What if I am a passenger? If I am carrying as a passenger, do I need to say anything? I find the Texas state website a bit difficult ...

Re: Just curious, does anyone here have a NSA CHL?
Speaking of qualifying oddities, why no .22LR, .22WMR, .32ACP semi-automatics allowed? Concealed carry means not everyone will want to have their britches pulled down with a 1911 hehe. Some folks just don't feel that anything more than a 16 oz. pistol is a carry weapon. I know there are combat advan...

Re: ammo on sale
I am up in the Shenandoah valley (Harrisonburg) in Virginia and took a quick look at the ammo prices at the Walmart there. MUCH higher than my local San Antonio Wallys. They only had a few boxes of .40 S&W and these were all over $25 for 50 and NO .32 acp or 380 acp. .22LR was about $11 for a bo...

Re: Issues with SW40VE
Its odd... more people admit to this issue with a Sigma than on the S&W forum hehe - Sent it back to S&W today. Hopefully they will sort it out as I like the feel although I am more accurate with my Bersa 380 Thunder at every distance... much tighter pattern with the Bersa although the S&...

Taurus MDL 84522SS
I was looking at the Taurus website under their new for 2010 models and saw the 84522SS... essentially a .45 but you can swap the barrel/slide and magazine and make it into a .22 LR. Sounds pretty much perfect as you can practice with inexpensive ammo on a powerful carry gun. Haven't seen this model...
