Taurus MDL 84522SS
I was looking at the Taurus website under their new for 2010 models and saw the 84522SS... essentially a .45 but you can swap the barrel/slide and magazine and make it into a .22 LR. Sounds pretty much perfect as you can practice with inexpensive ammo on a powerful carry gun. Haven't seen this model for sale anywhere yet... just the 845. I think if you have an 845 you can buy a conversion kit or will be able to when it becomes available. Any comments on the 845? There will also be a .40 cal version called the 84022SS I think.
