Re: Stevens Shotgun
I bought this gun at the end of summer from Academy for $199, their everyday price. There were two things that kept running through my mind at the time. 1) It can' t be worth much if it's $199. 2) What a sweet set-up for $199! I bought it and was immediately impressed with it's weight, ghost ring re...

Re: Spring Guns and Ammo
I'm equidistant to both Shiloh and SGA, with SGA being the range I prefer. In my experience, if you get there between 3:30 and 4:00 pm on any given day, you'll have the pistol range mostly to yourself. The staff is knowledgable and friendly and the owners are generally always around. Their gunsmith,...

Re: Sales guy needs some carry advice
Wow! Talk about ask and ye shall recieve. Thank ya'll so much for the advice and feedback. I've really started trying out different shirts and pant selections that are comfortable, appropriate and conceal well. I'm leaning on carrying the Sig 239 more and more because, well in my mind, it's a little...

Sales guy needs some carry advice
Hey guys and gals, I'm in outside sales so I have a few questions I'd like to get some good feedback on with regards to options for carry. I am planning on getting my CHL within the next month and I'm trying to do some planning ahead. The parameters than should be taken into consideration are: 1) 8 ...

Re: Broken rail on glock
My Glock 23 was my first Glock purchase and like you, I got a really good deal on it. When I bought it, it probably had less than 50 rounds through it and the factory copper grease was barelly missing. It's funny though, I've seen quite a few model 23's in all the various generations around $375-$42...

Re: Ruger SR9C
I just bought mine yesterday. I've had my eye on it for a while and I finally said to heck with it and bought it. It's the all black model, which is the one I wanted but couldn't find in Houston. I bought it at GT Distributors in Austin for a heck of a price, which obviously helped to influence my d...

Re: WTB: Kel-tec PF-9 (Houston area)
I saw a couple of nice ones at Pawn Shops on the northwest side of Houston on Monday. Try Shaw's RR Jewelry and Pawn on Jones Road south of 1960. Black slide and OD green grip for $249 if I'm not mistaken. Also saw one at Northwest Pawn #2 on Kuykendahl Road sout of Louetta in Spring. This one was a...
