Selling anything can be a hassle I have learned in my short years on this planet. I know a few people that get what they are asking and even make a buck or two. I personally always lose my rear end selling things IMO. Typically I try and only sell something if I really need the money quickly so maybe that is why.

I have been carrying my 27 as a 23 for a few days now. My wife says she can see it but only because she knows its there. Tonight I am wearing a lime green shirt PLAIN no graffics, somewhat tight. I am purposely TRYING to print and honestly feel more and more comfortable as I am doing so. Before anyone jumps on me, I am at home. I have realized that I inadvertently pull my shirts down to my waste tighter frequently. For the last two days I pull UP and let fall. It has made a tremendous impact on hiding. Also I have been paying closer attention to how my gun rides along my spare tire. I am 5 '8 197 pounds stockier guy. I rock a mean 33 inch spare tire though :D.

I have never really payed as close attention to the .357 sig ballistics as I have always wanted to jump to 10mm. They are impressive no doubt. I have tried finding some .357 sig vs pig stats haven't come up with much. Besides I like the idea of a 200g 10mm :D. It is going to happen just a matter of when.

Re: Glock 29 and 27 (or 26) owners please help

The fact I have to sell the 27, leaving me unarmed for X? Amount of time makes this choice even harder. Last night with the cooler shirt I was wearing I was forced to change shirts or go appendix. I am sure wearing at my normal 3.5-4 o clock may or may not have worked but I hadn't worn that shirt before and didn't have a whole lot of time to prepare. I feel almost more proficient drawing from that position sometimes anyways.

However, this instantly popped in my head "what if this was a 29?" The availability of one is making it hard to physically hold in person. Considering the Gen 4, I am told, are the same size as the Gen 3 SF. May make it easier to call and hunt one down. Cabellas offered me below 300.00 for my Gen 4 27 which has night sights and 4 magazines. I made sure he wasn't joking before I kindly declined. I want G29 but not if it means me being robbed out of my 27.

OrangeAnimal wrote:For the 27? There are tons. I actually have one for sell (shameless plug) but in all seriousness I never liked carrying it I even have a very nice holster that I never used. The grip is just too short, that said there are a million ways around concealing a larger gun. I am right at six feet tall and only weigh 155. I concealed a 1911 everyday for a year. Full size grip just shorter barrel although the barrel length isn't an issue. I never wear anything but t shirts and blue jeans. You can with a good holster and the right attitude conceal anything. I highly recommend crossbreed holsters. I just bought something that was similar but cheaper and yeah it's true you get what you pay for. It's not awful but it ain't the cats meow either.
nah man for the 29. On a lot of websites there show to have separate holsters for the 29/30 making me think the other holster makers that don't list the 29/30 don't accommodate it

You still only have a 3 finger purchase but you stop worrying about your bottom finger slipping - especially if someone were to grab the gun by the barrel. It feels far more solid in your hand.

I find that I shoot every bit as good and comfortable using this floor plate AND it keeps the G27 nice and small in it's "print". It's cheap enough to try out and I think you'd be surprised. I've shot lotsa rounds with my G27 equipped with this and I feel completely comfortable with it as I do my G23.

And as someone here stated, once you put the Pearce extension on your G27 (which I do have a couple) you may as well be toting the G23 (which I sometimes also carry).

Now as someone here mentioned, the G23 can be converted to the G32 with only a barrel swap. I have the factory Glock .357sig barrel and it's great. Not only does it allow you to use the same holsters etc. as the G23 (and G27) BUT it also makes the gun a good 2 ounces lighter depending on the loads.

So many choices as I get ready to leave for the morning! My wife takes less time to pick out a pair of shoes.
Hey man thanks! I saw one of those awhile back and couldn't find it again I may give that a shot. I have a glock factory extension I don't care for much at all. The sleeve is "OK" The only reason I like the peirce is it shares a similary texture to the Gen4 grip. It pinchs my pinky after round 3 or 4 though usually.

Would carrying my glock 27 with the Glock 23 mag give me the same "print" as a glock 29? I can't afford to buy a Glock 29 right out. I am 5 8' roughly 190. Even in winter I mostly wear t shirts (I sweat at anything above 20 degrees) I know I can also get a .40 barrel for a 29 which makes this choice seem even more logical. However, I don't want to risk my concealment. I can't dress "around" my gun anymore than I have already tried in the 2 years I have been carrying.[/quote

With the Peirce extension you have almost the same print as a G 23. I switch between carrying a G 27 with a Peirce +2 and a G 23 depending on how I feel. I carry a extra magazine (G 22) with either gun. The 29 is a little thicker that the .40 and the ammo is a lot more expensive. For those reasons I would stay with the .40 or maybe carry a G30 (cheaper ammo than 10mm). But the wide print of the G 29 and G 30 would be little more that .40.

Mike
I didn't even think about printing width wise. Thanks pointing that out. In regards to how the extension prints vs the actual size of the 23 mag. I noticed the "drop" from the handle to the mag with the extension helps the shirt kind of "roll with" the gun VS the 23 mag it seems to "lay" on it.

jmra wrote:I know this is not what you asked, but if it were me and I already had the 27 and I was looking to have an option other than the .40, I would buy a 357 sig conversion barrel and keep the 27. You can use the same mags as well. Don't know if you have looked at the 357 sig round, but it is a very mean round.

oh trust me that thought has crossed my mind several times over the 2 years I have had this gun. I can find 10mm over .357 sig easier AND can still do that with a Glock 29. I have went to buy the barrel and stopped to ponder the Glock 29 instead. Then that leaves me stuck and pondering it to much. Kind of like I have been doing today.

Glock 29 and 27 (or 26) owners please help

I have a glock 27 and I carry it with a peirce +1 extension giving it a full "purchase" for my tiny hands. I also have a Glock 23 extension with a sleeve on it.
