Yeah it's about 5 bucks more for a box of 50 which adds up I know. I plan to get a .40 barrel for it at some point.punkndisorderly wrote:I've got a gen 3. Love it.
Be forewarned, if you intend to do more than use it for a range toy, you'll be wanting to shoot it a fair bit. There's the only problem with 10mm: ammo. You won't be picking it up a WalMart when you pop in for ammo, a loaf of bread, and some socks.
You may be able to pick it up at the local gun store, but you'll pay a premium.
I've had to order almost all of my ammo. And while it's not crazy expensive like a box of ammo, it ain't cheap. You have to ask if the 10mm is with paying 20%+ more to shoot than, say .45 or .40. Or shoot 20% less often.
You may be in a position where it's not an issue. In that case, rock on. It's a great gun in a great round.

10mm Glocks at GunGear to Go
I have been hunting for a Glock Gen 4 29. I am rarely in Plano so i decided to call Gun Gear to Go. I have heard since my hunt for one there is not a huge difference between SF models and standard models. Well I have never had a chance to hold them back to back like today. The Glock gen 4 29 is supposedly the exact same size as the gen 3. I immediately noticed the difference. I WILL be trying to obtain one very very soon.
I spoke with several people at this store in Plano. I will be giving them my business. i was in no way shape or form pressured in any way. i wasnt blown off when i purposely told them i was "window shopping". Instead of just saying "ok" and walking away with an attitude, 3 different employees just kind of hung out and shot the breeze with me while looking. I can honestly say that I have not found that much at a gun store. I have found buying guns to be similar to buying a car actually.
If anyone is looking for a great place to go see some cool stuff check them out.

I am in no way affiliated with them. I was just that impressed. The have a pretty decent holster selection. I didn't see belts but then again I didn't stay long enough to look.
