picked up some .22 LR in WalMart on Monday, and got asked the same question. Pretty sure I look over 30. The man that had come to the counter to help me didn't even know where to look for the ammo I was calling out - I had to point it to him. I think he was just on auto pilot and the register prompted that question so he asked.
