Unfortunately, yeah. Its still private property, so they can ask you to leave and have you "escorted" if you refuse. You don't have a "right" to be there, and you must observe their wishes.txinvestigator wrote:Of course they can.kw5kw wrote:Ok make a T-Shirt and wear that into Taco Cabana! They can't throw you out for that!

You know, with the VT shootings still on everybody's mind, and the fear of "gun free zones" at the forefront, this might not be a bad idea to start making the public more aware of their environment.Mike1951 wrote:How about taping this on or near the Taco Cabana signs?

I'm not recommending this sign. It seems too abrupt and noticeable, and would be ripped down at the very sight. The picture would be necessary, or one like it, but perhaps a more subtle wording choice, so as not to alarm the sheep, but simply make them aware.
But technically, without permission, wouldn't this be vandalism?
We don't really want that on our heads now, do we?

Personally, as long as their signs stay non-compliant, I will continue to eat there (armed) whenever the family gets together and wants to.
If, by some one in a million chance, some BG decides to hold up the place on that particular night, and I am there... well lets just say, I won't let TC hear the end of it. (assuming I survive
)
Many of you resent the opinion of their management about CHL holders. I find it quite amusing that they put enough effort into forcing every store to post a non-compliant sign and expect me, a law abiding citizen, to abide by it.
There are lots of stupid people in the world. Luckily, a few of them run Taco Cabana. And as long as that is the case, they will continue to receive my money, and be in the presence of my gun.
Sorry if I nullify the valiant effort of a fellow member or two by continuing, but those tacos are just soooo good.

I never "called you out". I was simply stating why the other poster may have considered your letter to be out of the ordinary from something we normally see from you. It was not meant to get your goat. Yet you replied with the exact same paranoid resentment as you did with the other poster.txinvestigator wrote:Call me out or attack me and I WILL respond in kind.Lucky45 wrote:Ok..Ok... so go moderate HIM if and when you get modeator status.kauboy wrote:Geez, get over yourself. I was pointing out that your letter is not what we normally see spew forth from your posts. If you want to take offense to that, be my guest.
And you were once a cop. I hope your fuse wasn't as short then
You always assume that other's posts, directed to you, have some hidden meaning that you must clarify or you won't sleep well, or something.
I know you and I have had disagreements in the past, but I leave them there, IN THE PAST. My explanation was not wrought from some pent up anger or hostility, so don't take it as such.
You do offer a good deal of knowledge and experience to the board, and I'm sure others appreciate it too, but you often come off as arrogant and pompous, even though you may not wish to. Like I said earlier, personalities are excruciatingly difficult to decipher from a simple internet forum.
I'm pretty sure that the reason you and I clash is because we probably have very similar personalities, and that often causes friction.
I sure hope we can put that aside from now on.
Sorry for all that, folks.

Yet again, you take offense to something not meant to offend.txinvestigator wrote:So I seldom make well thought out or poignant posts, and I don't put forth much effort in my responses?kauboy wrote:I'm pretty sure he only means that since the majority of your responses are very brief, the effort put forth to write a well thought out and poignant letter to the company, seemed a little out of character. I'm just glad to see more folks taking a more active roll against companies that have flawed policies created by inept people. Keep up the good work, guys.
