you've told yourself, and your brain is learning that the snuff is harmful to you...I've had to learn over the last couple of years that diary is almost deadly to me, it's reached the point that I can smell a pizza and not want it anymore. You're already reaching that point

That crap is expensive, not taking 1 drug to get off another. I got some fake snuff to replace the feel of a real dip. Cravings are getting tough but Im going to make it. Ive been reading and the first 3 days is the worst, just wish this fog would go away.

I do agree with Fickman about the "easing" off, although it seems to be working for you. a couple of years before I met my husband, my FIL woke up one morning had a coughing fit that woke everyone up, they thought they were going to have to take him to the hospital he caught his breath and never touched a cigarette again. Now, he had quit for short stints a couple of times, but this stuck...he'd scared himself crazy! when he died last year it wasn't the smoking, it was diabetes, age, etc...

find something to do instead during those rough times....take the dog for a walk, take the wife for a walk, talk instead of dip, just a couple of ideas.
