CHL as a Passenger?
This question got asked over at another forum and has generated some discussion: "I know that if you are carrying while driving it is best, if you are pulled over, to let the officer know that you are a permit holder and that you are carrying that day. However, what is the best way to handle if...

Re: Armed around police - the jitters do fade
I'm a relatively new CHL holder and it does take some getting used to. At first I thought that because I could barely see the print of my gun, everybody could. Now I'm coming to realize that nobody but me are looking for it. A little nervous walking past a LEO yesterday but he didn't even give me a ...

Tactical Ranges?
Are there any ranges that allow tactical shooting between downtown Houston and Galveston area?
At least one that allows you practice drawing from your holster and shooting?
My local range doesn't even allow holsters on the premises.

Re: [Pre-paid legal service] vs CHL Protection Plan
How about Concealed Carry Legal Services? Their coverage looks pretty good although I would like to see a full contract before signing up. http://www.concealedcarrylegal.com/index.cfm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I find this line interesting: "or even when you have b...

Re: Remora Holsters
I love my Remora for my SR9c with CT Laser.
Stays put, protects the gun well, conceals very well, can be placed in any position, cant, hand draw, draw style and depth, comfortable, inexpensive and lifetime warranty.
I have about 5 holsters and this is still my favorite.

This sounds like what I've been looking for but it is too far away from me.
If anyone learns of anything simular on the south side, toward Galveston, I'd like to hear about it.

Re: Picking a small carry flashlight
Here is the one that I bought. Easy to carry. Very bright, normal light and strobe.

Re: Mailed chl checklist to wrong address...
It'll get there OK. Same thing happened to me and a friend of mine. Luckily I caught it before dropping them in the mail and changed it to the one that was listed on my online app printout. A person I spoke to there said that either address would work but the one on the app printout bypassed the app...

Re: TxDPS Website Question
I sent my materials (after applying online) on November 1st. Status did not change for weeks. I emailed them and they said that the online status was down. After a couple more emails I was informed that my license was mailed on January 4th. I checked online, and sure enough, the status had changed t...

I work at a church as well as attend on Sundays and many meetings.
I thought that it was illegal to carry in a place of worship in Texas. Am I wrong? Did I misread the statutes?

Re: The arms room
I too frequent the Arms Room and agree with all comments. Nice staff, nice indoor range, rental guns for the range, but pricey. Also, I've bought all my guns and a lot of ammo from Mr. T's. Roy is a great guy and his gun prices can't be beat. If you are in or near Texas City, be sure to check him out.
