With only 4-6hrs per class vs 8-10hrs, instructors will be able to schedule more classes per week. It might not be feasible to try 2 classes in the same day, but 2 or 3 classes on consecutive days may be now doable.
I suppose instructors could also look into expanding their training class offering. You know. Since some are worried about new chl holders running amok....
That's what I plan on doing. I already offer NRA HFS, Basic Pistol, & First Steps Pistol. Once I'm certified for TX CHL (still waiting on DPS to schedule me :totap: ) and teaching CHL classes, I plan on offering the NRA courses to students who appear to be....less familiar, shall we say....with pistol. I won't require them to take my additional courses, of course. Buti will strongly recommend that they do so.

It is my humble opinion that any CHL instructor who does not do this (or does not at least have someone they can refer such students to) is doing themselves, the student, and the public a huge disservice.
