Nope. It's up to the buyer to verify the title is clear. But, as I posted above, the seller can release all liability to the vehicle by reporting the sale to the state. So even if the buyer chooses not to register it, you, the seller, is off the hook for anything involving the vehicle.

Not necessary to do all that. Just report the vehicle as sold: https://vision21.txdmv.gov/Vehicle/Main ... ation.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. I've used that before and had nary an issue.
