Re: Appleseed shoot

The only "preaching" if you want to call it that is that they strongly urge people to get involved in our governmental process...vote at the least. Mostly though, it is a really neat history lesson on April 19, 1775. A story telling style of the event of that day. You shoot and train on a ...

Re: Appleseed shoot

I forgot to mention. You would be well advised to practice dry firing in the prone and sitting/kneeling positions about 5-10 minutes a day for about 2 weeks just prior to the event. My daughter and i did a little and we paid for it....talk about sore..... :???: We also started "practicing"...

carry holster for S&W 6906

Howdy,
I'm looking for a carry holster for this gun and it is tough to find. I'm interested in both IWB and out. Anyone got one of these guns with a holster you like or know of someone that could give me some input? :headscratch

Thanks,

Re: Appleseed shoot

We went last September at the College Station shoot. My dad (71) and brother went with me and my daughter (15). It was hot and it rained on us a while on Sat. but WOW, what a great time. The instructors were great and really took time to give personal instruction and they ran a tight line. We all sh...

Re: CHL Course of Fire

Thanks for the quick responses. I have the same "list" several of you posted with each phase of the course and the shots within that phase. My wife and I are taking the class at the end of the month and she just wanted to know what to expect ahead of time. Sounds like it basically depends ...

CHL Course of Fire

Howdy,

I found a copy of the CHL Course of Fire on a web site but need some clarification. When it says "shoot 1 shot every 2sec 5 times", is that literally Bang 1001,1002, Bang 1001, 1002....or just 5 shots within 10sec? :headscratch

Thanks,

Re: Wife with weak hands

Thanks for the great input! It looks like we have a " private " class my brother was able to set up and we have overcome the obstacle. My dad also has a few 380s he is going to let her try.

Wife with weak hands

My wife decided she would like to get her CHL when I go to get mine. We figured out a method (thanks to YouTube) for her to rack the slide but she can't lock it open. I know we can see about getting her a smaller gun but she wants to know if she will be required to lock it open during the class. Can...

Re: Recommend CHL class - Ft Worth area

Thanks for all the comments. I'll look into them. Looking forward to getting this done. By the way what is the minimum age limit for getting a CHL?

Re: Recommend CHL class - Ft Worth area

Sorry, I just realized I probably posted this in the wrong section of the site. New to forums too...... Would there be a better section to post this?

Recommend CHL class - Ft Worth area

Howdy,

I'm new to the site and would like feedback on good/bad classes in the Fort Worth area. I have contacted Cabela's, Bass Pro Shop, Cheaper Than Dirt and found chltx.com site. Others? :headscratch

Thanks for the input.
