I do NOT ever walk where a car could drive by close enough to snatch my purse without my awareness level kicking up several notches. I do this to lower my chances of becoming a victim not because I carry in my purse or because my purse might be stolen. I have found I enjoy being out more when I pay attention to what is going on around me.
