I can carry in the car under MPA if my license expires until the new one comes in, but what about if I have a valid license...seems that it should cover me...shouldn't have to give up the right to carry MPA just because we have a CHL...one case might be where my son left his pistol in my truck and I wasn't carrying mine or my CHL...
...I carry my wallet 24/7, thank you, so that I have it if I jump out into the neighborhood in the middle of the night...my insurance stays in the truck...I gave a "might be" to show where some CHL holder might be without his CHL or pistol, and yet there be a gun in the car...and asked if MPA would trump the need to show CHL then...you don't know NUTTIN' 'bout pockets, Sir...I carry about 3# of necessary items in my pockets every time I put on my jeans...Mama NEVER swatted my butt before makin' me unload 'em...not since she grabbed me up at about 7 and busted her hand on the "D" cell batteries I had crammed in my pockets...why, who knows???

...get a haircut and stop wearing those "BAD cop....NO DONUT" t-shirts...that might help...I think his CHL ignorance trumped your oversight...but the price is the same anyways...I've paid one of those school zone tickets myself...OUCH...I'd visit with the chief about his lecture...uncalled for...as was his hand on his gun when your hands were busy in plain sight and far away from your gun...a touch of Wyatt Earp syndrome...punkndisorderly wrote:Think I'm going to stick with taping the two together. I can count the number of times I've had to pull my DL out of the wallet on one hand in the last few years.
I had my chl right behind my DL and was too flustered to remember to pull it out as well. This was actually the best experience I've had with local police. I never had problems with an officer while I was a truck driver. I had a million miles with only a few "fix it" tickets. However, local cops just seem to delight in making my life miserable, and so I tend to be a little nervous. The officers that get me always seem to be rookies, are complete jerks, and end up fired within 6 months.
It's funny, because all the interactions I've had with police through work were totally positive.
