I stayed at the Hilton in Downtown Austin this past week. I entered via the garage where there are no signs and did not see them till I was in the lobby. I went and put my gun back in the safe in my car. Later I asked why they were posted and was told that it is a corporate policy of Hilton International, it is not a franchise choice as others have said, it is corporate policy. Franchises have the choice not to post it. Anyway when discussing the issue with the manager, I was informed, according to him the building is actually owned by the city.
