Re: Wife with weak hands

Instructors have a great deal of latitude in method and style while keeping the curriculum outlined by the state. For example, I have severe arthritis in my hands and have had several broken thumbs and fingers. Can't make a fist with the right hand because fingers turn back instead of forming a ball.
As a result I cannot load a clip without using a MagLula. In fact, we had a little fun contest after the qualification and I could load 10 rounds in a brand new Smith & Wesson clip faster than any of the guys pushing shells in one at a time by hand. Woman next to me on the line smoked everybody.. she can make that Glock loader fly.
We all had to start with an empty gun and empty clip in front of us then on command load and fire each group. Made it easy after the first 5 rounds because the slide stays open. Drop the clip to inspect for empty, then step back from the line to wait for the next reload sequence.
Don't know if this is the method used by all or most instructors but it would seem to be a good way to see if any of the applicants were unsure or sloppy in their gun handling. Just guessing, but putting a round through the bench or your foot might be a disqualifier. posting.php?mode=reply&f=7&t=41687&sid= ... b54efbf19f#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
