As I was reading the first few lines of your post, the last line jumped into my head as well. That just isnt a bad idea at all. I have a yippy dog for alarm duty. A big crate might get a ner-do-well to think the Lhasa has a buddy. We have several very large dogs in our home. My wife asked me the other day why I leave the light on in the dog room with the blinds open. I told her that if somebody is looking to come in our home uninvited, I'd like them to see the dog room with 5 very large empty crates so they know what they are up against should they decide to come in. I'd like to think a room with nothing but large empty dog crates would be a fairly good deterrent.
