I won't buy anything from GT Distributors. They took my order for a Ruger SR1911 last month and just recently started letting people know that they will no longer sell Rugers to civilians. When I called to check on the status of my order, they looked it up and promptly canceled it due to their new policy. The customer service rep even claimed to check with a supervisor/manager to see if those placing orders before the new policy were okay and he was told to cancel my order.
I passed on a couple other opportunities to buy an SR1911, since I already placed an order with GT (eta - and I can't locate any available now, w/out getting on a wait list). The best part was when I asked the GT rep when they were going to inform customers that had placed orders that those orders were being canceled and he said, "as we call them to let them know their gun is in."
