Longer shirts to cover holster.
Deluth Trading Company makes shirts 3 inches longer than normel in a large selection of sizes and colors.mI am converting all my T shirts and Henleys to them. They are heavy cotton and come with a forever type guarantee. I carry a Kimber and one extra magazine whenever away from home. These are great.

Re: Travel to Canada w/ handgun
Securing the weapon in a safety deposit box in the US makes sense. If you carry an automatic strip it down to parts and bag them in several plastic bags. A quick squirt of lube will prevent rust. Gun parts are not longer a weapon . Traveling the US requires research into the state laws. The CHL law...

Re: CHL holder killed by police in Las Vegas at a Costco
This shows how careful a CHL holder must be! In the recent Tucson shooting an AZ CHL responded. He was leaving a store in the shopping center when he heard the shots. He was interviewed and stated that he responded because he was armed. His handgun was never unholstered . He arrived on scene just af...

The website for the aquarium says no firearms! Look at the Tips page. " Safety and Security For the safety of our guests, everyone must go through the security checkpoints before entering the aquarium. Security teams will oversee the bag checkpoints before entering the aquarium. Security teams ...

Re: Anyone have Galco's USA ULTIMATE SECOND AMENDMENT?
I like GALCO holsters. They seem to have value for the money. I use a JAK slide to carry a Kimber Ultra. Works fine with a Crimson Trace grip. A Browning BDA .380 also fits in it. I also sometimes use a YAQUI slide for my full size Kimber (also with a Crimson Trace grip. My JAK always stays on my be...

Re: Carrying Concealed on a Military base in Oklahoma
Policy changed after 9-11. I'm sure the Fort Hood shooting caused more changes. The base comander has some leaway in "fine tuning" the Department of Defense policies concerning privately owned weapons on base. There were always some variance between installations.now it is worse. Some base...

Re: Licensed open-carry or unlicensed open-carry?Qqqqq
Unlicensed open carry could be scary! In my last CHL renewal class I saw a person load a 9mm magazine backwards. The concept of pointy (or semi-pointy ) end first into the breech was unknown. I was a USAF Security Police member for 20 years. I went to the range twice a year for 4 courses of fire. So...

Concealed carry was not allowed in the aquarium in Atlanta, magnetometers at entrance when I visited a year ago. Check their website for verification.

Re: 1911 option?
I think that the most important thing is to carefully pick the garment that covers the holster. I am retired so I wear jeans and T shirts most of the time. A extra long T shirt fitted full, not tight covers just fine, for a holster that holds the pistol in close. Gander Mountain has Tall sizes for s...

Re: New Member needing help
I have had a CHL for over 12 years. S & W revolvers are reliable and proven. Used they are a solid value. The K frames are a good size for a "learner" pistol. The K frame model come in a round butt or a square butt. The round butt is more concealable. For used guns look at the finish, ...
