Re: Off duty request for ID
Hey all thanks for the input. As I stated before, he was a really nice guy. I didn't have any doubt in my mind that he was police, which is why I complied. I guess its one of those things where I want to learn the intricacies of the law so that if I ever get in a situation where I am dealing with a ...

Re: Off duty request for ID
Ok, I am curious if it is required for me to produce identification upon request of an off-duty LEO who is working as a security guard. To clarify, there was a misunderstanding, and an off duty LEO (had shoulder patches ID'ing his department, no badge on, open carry) instructed me to produce identi...

Re: Off duty request for ID
Did he suspect you were involved in criminal activity? Seems like that is the first question most of the open carry guys ask when an officer wants to see ID. I would more than likely give an officer my ID wether I had to or not because ultimately he can find out who I am anyway. I am sure that the ...

Re: Off duty request for ID
I *think* that the legal issue is one of authority and jurisdiction. The authority runs 24/7/365 within the jurisdiction. There are only two sub-questions that I can think of that might make a difference: 1) Departmental policy. 2) Context around when can an officer demand ID. If you were in a priv...

Re: Off duty request for ID
Her reason for throwing me out was because I was yelling. I recorded the whole interaction, and I never raised my voice once.

Re: Off duty request for ID
I was sitting in my car on the cell phone outside of a business. I had gone in to speak with the supervisor about an issue I had, the supervisor flew off the handle and threw me out of the store. I left the building immediately, but sat in my car outside on the phone talking to their corporate offic...

Hand Reloading Setup .223
Hello all, I am selling a setup for reloading. This is a great beginner set and would make a great christmas present. It comes with the following items. I have not actually done any reloading on this setup. The only thing you would need to start is brass, powder, and bullets. I have used the sonic c...

WTS Walther P99/PPS Tritium Sights
I have a set of tritium sights for sale in the San Antonio area. Asking $60. These were shipped from factory on 1/12/12, and are good for 10 years. I have invoice from factory with date. (Date is important for half life of Tritium.) Prefer Face to face transfer. http://i.imgur.com/B0jXll.jpg http://...

I have worked with this person multiple times, and can't beat 25 for a transfer, plus he has actively went out of his way to try to save me money two separate times.

Re: Road rage confrontation.
I was not even armed, so I was careful. I just felt that the situation was at a tipping point, and wanted to nudge it in the good direction. If anything me shouting that I was gonna call the police stopped the situation, I just felt bad because I could empathize with her, and I wanted her to know th...
