Re: Legal or not?
I know 3 young people that grew up normal, then went to UNT.. they have graduated into the smartest liberal's they think they could ever be. I think it's part of the hidden agenda.. UNT. The Un-Texas. Hey now. I went there, but I was a science major, not any of LIBERAL arts stuff. I kno...

Re: DPS on that new section of George Bush Turnpike
Isn't the oversight of toll roads in N. Texas done by a foreign company? There was a big stink about it a couple of years ago regarding 121.

Re: DPS on that new section of George Bush Turnpike
I think the real question here is...How can a privately controlled section of pavement be patrolled with my public tax dollars?

Re: Legal or not?
Legal, unless school sponsored activity or entering building. IANAL but the statute was already cited. If in doubt, carry a copy when venturing into this area, cover yourself.

Re: DL Photos on CHL
Yea, this was the weird case. It is starting to happen repeatedly, the use of DL photos. I was wondering if it was me or a trend that others have noticed.

Re: Nonresident CHL
The case here is they plan on taking the course with the FL DL documentation and then acquiring a TX DL shortly after it's issuance or during the course of DPS CHL acceptance. I have advised them to get the TX DL first BTW. The question is, would the CHL address readily be changed to represent the ...

Re: DL Photos on CHL
White, off white is representative of my photos, also proved to be accepted by US Dept of State as well as DPS in license issuance. That was what was submitted. The DL photo DPS used was from 16yrs ago, color was off white.

Exactly, In one case the DL pic was 16yrs old. The man might have been 25 but is now in his 40's.

Re: Nonresident CHL
Under the same topic...I have a prospective student that maintains residence in both Florida and Texas. Enough documentation to show proof of Texas residency but holding a current FL DL. I told them that they would receive a non-resident license due to the FL DL but was asked this question..."I...

DL Photos on CHL
So a couple of my last students reported the use of their existing DL photo on their CHL when they received it I haven't had this happen until now. Has something changed with the way DPS is doing things regarding photos? I know they were in the process of making a change.

Re: Rudy's BBQ is now posted (Updated: No longer posted)
Hickory Stick is really out of the way for us, but if we go to Alpine to shoot, we always stop by there. Don't know how long that place has been there, but it was old the first time I was introduced to it, and that was more than 30 years ago. Any place that has been in business that long has got so...

Re: Rudy's BBQ is now posted (Updated: No longer posted)
Admittedly after only reading the first 3 pages of this topic...The Rudy's in Arlington wasn't posted as of 3 months ago that I noticed. Getting me in that place is considered forcible entry anyway as the metroplex has many, many more BBQ outlets that are far superior. They will be without my funds ...
