Here's option #3, Lucky: 3) Don't ride the bus in Houston I think the #1 priority in self-defense is NOT carrying a firearm but keeping yourself away from locations in which you might have to use it. I ride the bus daily. I've never seen any such threat before, I think this is a rare one-off event....

Where do you park free, one without the parking meter? I got ticketed one time with the parking meter, i thought it was free esp its the weekend. The Houston gov tsays it not unless SUnday. Oh well, $50 down the drain. I remember now. I parked at the musician's union parking lot, 1 block north of t...

10 Garand clips and two of the M1 Carbine pouches.

I was sorely tempted by the Saiga 12 GA converted to AK style furniture at the MGS table.

It didn't fit my budget at $700, however.

I plan to attend. I beat the parking by showing up before they open, and parking on the street. After the opening, there's too much competition for that.

I don't go in with guns, just leave with them...

I got one of those academy safes. The Bubbas from the store helped load it in my truck, a friend, a come-along and a pallet dolley helped unload it and put into place.

So, possible, but a pain in the posterior...

I picked up an M1917, for $425. Also, found some knock off mags for a Sig 220 for 3 buck a piece. Also, a tin of greek 30-06 for 65 bucks for 380 rounds.

Overall, a good show. The HGCA always has the best exhibitors.

I'm not a hipower expert either, but it seems to me you should be able to get a used gun for less than that.

Here's one on gunbroker...

Re: Selling a Used Gun

I am opposed to government registration as it is, and the 4473 and FFL's requirement to keep those records is registration. Actually - the 4473 never leaves the FFL files (unless a firearm has been used in a crime and a copy has been requested by the BATFE) NOR is the sale ever recorded with the BA...

I thought about this for a few minutes, and then realized I have NEVER sold a gun. I have let a few be adopted into good homes, but I have never SOLD one. Why, that would be just like selling one of the kids. Hmm... wonder how much I could get for one of them kids? This cracks me up. I bought a C&a...
