Re: Pharmacy Robberies and Customer Killings Increasing

accidental insurance??

now THAT is disturbing. I think that is something that needs to be disclosed to employees.

Re: Pharmacy Robberies and Customer Killings Increasing

to clarify: my wife does like to shoot and has an inherent appreciation for firearms from her father, i dont think the issue is the firearm itself. I also think that if i were to ask her to, she would carry daily... however, i dont want her to just have a paperweight in her purse, i want her to be excited about it.

perhaps im asking too much (one can lead a horse to water...) perhaps over time she will learn to appreciate her 2A right. i guess i would just feel better if she were as interested as i am in becoming proficient with her carry weapon and being as prepared as humanly possible for any potential threats.

i will continue to bring it up (gently) in conversations and see what develops.

Re: Pharmacy Robberies and Customer Killings Increasing

thanks for the advice, folks. got the wifey signed up for an Oct 2 CHL class... i've been talking to her about carrying a lot lately and she kind of shrugs it off. I dont want her to feel like im forcing this gun into her purse, i think that's probably the fastest way to turn a girl off to shooting altogether. however, i am concerned for her safety as she leaves the pharmacy at 10:30pm once per week, after her closing shift.

i'll keep working on her - anyone have any techniques they'd care to share regarding convincing a wife to carry all the time? lol

Re: Pharmacy Robberies and Customer Killings Increasing

my wife works at a pharmacy and their policy is a strict, 'no guns for employees' rule.

ticks me right off.

she will be getting her CHL as soon as my mom buys her first gun and signs up for class (they're going to get them together) but where she needs it the most, behind the counter, she will have to go without.
