Revolver Portion
This may be a clearly discussed topic, but I was unable to find a thread on exactly what I'm looking for. But, I suppose the search function only works as well as the operator. I'll be shipping off next week to the instructor course. I'm fairly new to revolvers, so this portion of the qualification ...

Re: Business Side of Things
If I incorporate, I'd go with an LLC.
Though, besides the liability benefits, what else would benefit me?

Re: Business Side of Things
You have to get the DBA before you get the bank account. You don't need an EIN unless you are going to pay other employees. Standard deductions for home office and milage, just like any other home based business. Also for any equipment you buy specifically for the business (laptop, projector, renta...

Business Side of Things
It's a little premature considering the fact that I haven't taken the class yet, but I'd like to get everything sorted out prior to even considering teaching a class. In regards to the legal aspect of getting started, I know that I'll need to: - File a DBA - Get an EIN - Get a Bank Account But, I'm ...

Re: Aug 22-26 Instructor Class
I sent my RSVP e-mail right after I received it. I should be there, too!

Re: Class Schedule
I appreciate all of the help, guys! :cheers2: Out of curiosity, what is the typical amount of time it takes for DPS to go through mail? I got my fingerprints done on Monday and mailed in the paperwork on Tuesday. I would assume they got the mail either Wednesday or Thursday, but the site still says ...

Re: Class Schedule
Y'all are an absolutely wonderful source of information. Thank you, again!
I assume the same goes for paper work? Just fit it in at the beginning of class? My memory of my class is rather skewed considering it was so long ago.

Class Schedule
Given that this is my first post, I apologize if this information is easily found somewhere on the forum. I've done a good number of searches, but I can't seem to find an answer for what I'm scratching my head over. I know that DPS mandates class length to a minimum of 10 hours, but how exactly does...
