Anybody know of a half-way decent, or better, pistol range anywhere near Rusk or Jacksonville in Cherokee County, TX?

I think the guy's name was Tom Ball, also had a Real Estate Agency. You might contact him to see if there is a public range around. Like I said it was a while back, he might not be around anymore. If you can't find one, sounds like there might be a business opportunity for someone

Tom Ball is a friend and was our instructor also. He has now built a nice house near where you (and us) qualified. He has said we can go shoot there when we want. I feel kinda' weird shooting in a guys front yard - between his horses and cows.
You're right there should be a range somewhere but, to my knowledge, there isn't. I don't know how the local PD and county sheriff maintain their qualifications - if they do.
