Corpus Christi Pistol and Rifle Club. I just joined a few days ago.

A lot of clays shooters there, pistol and rifle ranges, and even a place for full auto owners to have a blast!

This one is too rich for my blood... I do belong to Dallas Pistol Club in Carrollton though.

Prices may vary

PSC and many other local membership clubs charge about what a years worth of range fees.

There are some more expensive ranges. One that comes to mind is Greater Houston Gun Club. They look more like a country club than a shooting range. But, who am I to talk, they have been successful for many years. I guess it's just not my kind of shooting.

PSC is very inexpensive for what you get. I'd join if I lived closer to it.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

I live right by that place. Only thing i know about it is the price tag. Can you give me an idea about what you get for the fee? General idea of the range itself. Oh, and how hard is it to join?

Membership Club in El Campo

Update----After 30 years, we have now purchased the property from the heirs of our original landlord. We are appx. halfway between Houston and Victoria on hwy59.

With the purchase, and insurance, along with normal other expenses, our dues will probably increase from $35/year to the $50-60 range.
Rifle @ 300,200,100
Pistol and sight-in at 50, 25, and 15.
Covered firing line with concrete slab and tables.
You furnish targets, eye/ear protection(required)
Unsupervised, daylight hours only.
Safety issues dealt with decisively as, and if, they occur. i.e. membership/ownership may be forfeited.

We currently have members from Houston, Humble, Katy, Rosenberg, Bay City, Victoria, Corpus Christi, Palacios, and others out of Wharton County.
There appears to be a variety of reasons for those driving some distance to shoot with us. They generally boil down to cost, and lack of bull.

Members only, not for profit corporation.

We (Denton County Sports Association) are "members only", focusing primarily on "pistol people".

Thanks for the direction, btw, Tom. We did finally get hooked up with David K. ang going with the new self defense insurance coverage.

I am glad to hear you were able to work with David K. and get range insurance that covers self defense.

It seems like a great member benifit.

I am glad we have it at PSC.
