Great place. Nice air circulation. Parking lot could be a touch larger before the mud starts but I guess that's why there's so many lanes to use.
Watch those targets as you bring them in cause they'll give you a black eye. :)
And the best thing is that it's only 5 miles from my house.

Thanks Dude! We look forward to shootin with you again! You said it, you're only 5 miles away, now there is no excuse for not practicing! BTW, I'm a real Texan, I'll park in the mud if you want my parking space!

Outta curiosity, are there any options for overflow parking? I did try to make it from work to the range for one of Greg's Wednesday shoots, but it was already about two minutes after 7:00 when I got there, and the lot was full (prolly overfull by about one
), so I just kept moving and moseyed back home.
That time of the evening, can we use the small lot at the building just south of you? If not, any other options? Sure can't park along the side of the street.

Come on Skiprr, dont get discouraged by a full lot! Pull all the way around the back and there is available space that you cant see from the front of the building. The guys in the building next to us are some great guys so I'll go talk to them tomorrow and see if they will let us park over there on Wednesday nights. It shouldn't be a problem. If you cant make Wednesday's, come out on Thursday nights for IDPA - type shooting, 6-8pm.

Heh. Even the around-the-back was full. Only the space in front of the AC was open, and I'd have to be in a Mini-Cooper to fit in that without blocking folks to the rear.
But busy is a
good thing. I'm happy about it, Jeff. My problems are purely personal.
I can't take my gear to work, so I have to go home first and pick it up before heading over. I confirmed that one Wednesday that two hours ain't enough to do it. The next plan is to try to sneak out by 4:30 once in a while on Wednesdays.
Except now you're tempting me with Thursday's, as well. Hm. Have to leave by 4:00 to make it, but traffic should be lighter getting home. Hm...
What's the Thursday thing? I'm sure others would like details!

I went to Shiloh for the first time shortly after it opened. I was impressed enough with the folks to say "I'll definitely be back".
I went back with a buddy of mine that wants to get his CHL, but is apprehensive about his abilities. I walked him through the qualification shoot to show him he can absolutely do it while taking advantage of the rapid fire allowed. It was my first time doing rapid fire, and while I've always heard the a gun can "walk" while doing that I didn't realize how easy it would be to do so. The problem I had was the fact that I was actually able to do it. I would empty a magazine, and almost giggle. It was too fun! I have, of course, returned to work on my rapid fire ability.
Upon my return I brought two women with me that had new guns. One of which had never fired a pistol before. I suppose the seriousness of the lesson had something to do with it, but the rapid fire improved. As for how my two friends faired...that's another story.

Went to Shiloh friday and had a good shooting day.
Went back there sunday with my daughter and my son inlaw and three of his friends two of which never have
done any shooting before .
Everyone had a chanch to fire several different hand guns of different calibers revolvers and semi autos.
A good time was had by all and I think we got two more folks interested in shooting more , especialy the young
lady who really did a great job of putting those rounds down range.
I've got to thank the guys at Shiloh for a great place to shoot as it was a positive experiance for everyone.

Great place and nice atmosphere... I stopped my first time around Thanksgiving and had a great time with my 9mm and 40 S&W after lunch. Not very crowded at mid day so easy parking. I stopped by this morning dec 19th about 11:30AM but FULL house so you must have had an event going today on because there were even cars parked on that narrow Shiloh Church street. Guess you can park there OK when your in uniform.
Anyway, will be back again over the Holidays. NICE facility thanks for the opportunity !

I's just thinkin', maybe you could stop by there in the morning, drop off your "gear" and then be able to go straight from work.
course, that is if you trust'em
might save you some time, gas (and what with the prices...)

Went to Shiloh last Friday when I was visiting the folks in town. This is my second visit since grand opening week. Excellent work by Jeff and the family. The place feels like home every time I visit. Thanks Jeff for the lunch special pricing. The friends and I appreciated it a lot.

Last night's (Thursday) IDPA style shoot was great as we had a bunch of good guys come from other locations due to their being rained out Wednesday night. I'm not one to spoil anybody's fun but I'll be looking forward to poor weather on Wednesdays again. The more the merrier.

We should publicize it here: IDPA-style shooting at Shiloh from 6:00 to 8:00 every Thursday evening.
