Top Gun Shooting Range

#1

Post by USA1 »

Just came back from Top Gun.

This was my first time shooting there and I was very impressed with the experience.
The pistol range is clean and the lighting was excellent.

The next thing I noticed was the A/C. I almost wished I had worn a sweater..brrr.
It was chilly in there and the ventilation system seems to keep the air nice and clean.

I didn't have to wait for a lane, but if I did there's a nice comfy leather sofa and chairs
nestled around a fireplace to wait or just visit with friends as seen here...

I give Top Gun a big :thumbs2:

I am in no way affiliated with Top Gun..just a happy customer. ;-)

That's a nice looking place! Glad you found a great range to shoot at.

But one thing.....does it get cold enough down there to ever use that fireplace?

Let me know and you can shoot my G19 and G26 anytime you want. :fire

I work about 10 minutes from Top Gun. Just don't let your 1911's know you've been at the range with a plastic gun. They may get mad at you and require more expensive accessories and gunsmithing. :biggrinjester:

oooh!, I might take you up on that generous offer someday. And in return, you can take the Kimber for a test drive.

I was thinking..at one time or another I've owned just about every caliber except a 9mm.
While I was browsing at Top Gun, I really liked the G26. It's compact but holds plenty of rounds.

They had a big fire a few years ago that destroyed the range. Did you get any photos of the range? I haven't been back since discovering a nice indoor range that's a bit closer to my house (Memorial Shooting Center off the Katy Freeway)
Carrying since 02/06/2009.

I did not get pictures but I could tell everything was fresh and new.
I don't know how much was salvaged and how much was replaced, but the
equipment looked new and all the paint was new.

Good. I'll give 'em a call and see if they want to move to Grapevine. :evil2:
