I wonder how the machine gun show went.

I wanted to go, but other things took priority. I intend to make a trip out there soon.

I thought this would be the one causing all the controversy, but that one is down by the outlet malls and this one is near Cabela's.

Guess the neighbors don't get to sleep-in today! ;-)

Oops I guess the FA thing was yesterday.

I was wanting to visit tomorrow when I go in to Buda but when I looked at their website I saw this:
We are currenty closed due to maintaince issue to rearrange some shooting positions to better provide a safer and quieter experience for some neighbors.
I believe there is safety in numbers..
numbers like: 9, .22, .38, .357, .45, .223, 5.56, 7.62, 6.5, .30-06...

I read in the paper yesterday that they have re-opened, but who knows for how long.

I heard same thing this morning. Sounds like they're shut down pending investigation/review of the safety measures that are in place, so I'm guessing that means it will be a while before they are back in operation. KLBJ AM kept referring to complaints of "ammo" landing on neighboring properties. Now, they can keep their wayward bullets to themselves, but if they want to drop some .22 and .40 ammo on my lawn, I'd be glad to pick it up.:

I'm assuming they have proof of property damage that was reported by at least one property owner. However, I have a feeling the noise may be peoples biggest complaint. Supposedly Creedmoor's mayor went to the grand opening and felt there were some concerns with the automatic fire and shooting multiple explosive targets simultaneously. Sounds like a very lively range. Given that some people's range etiquette can be suspect, I guess nothing is out of question right now, but I wonder what's true and what's not true with what's going on with that range.

The website says the range is closed until a court hearing on the 23rd due to a temporary restraining order. Yikes.

I went to this range this past saturday and had a great time. Everything looked good to me, the dueling tree on the junk yard range was a blast.

They had a range officer for every shooting station (standup pistol and rifle, sit down rifle and the junk yard range). They also had the range officer that called the cease fires and cold ranges (which I like better than Lone Star where you do that yourself) The dirt berms were about 12 feet tall and they took safety(as they should) very seriously. This range gets top marks from me and I hope they don't keep them closed down for long.

I can't talk about an ongoing case other than to say I'm representing the range.
