He was one of those attorneys that came out on tv commercials.

I'm pretty sure I remember him from when I first moved to Dallas in 1991. IIRC he was all over, TV, the radio, billboards and a real "caricature" of the Texas plaintiff's bar. While I disagree with these guys 99% of the time, it's certainly a shame to hear of his death. I hope no foul play involved.

(I'm pretty sure he even made an episode of Mike Judge's Beavis & Butthead, my favorite show of the '90's, as my current Avatar attests...)
4/13/1996 Completed CHL Class, 4/16/1996 Fingerprints, Affidavits, and Application Mailed, 10/4/1996 Received CHL, renewed 1998, 2002, 2006, 2011, 2016...). "ATF... Uhhh...heh...heh....Alcohol, tobacco, and GUNS!! Cool!!!!"

Found dead just 2 days after his daughter's(who committed suicide)funeral. Sounds like he followed in her footsteps.

Suicide never ends the pain, it only transfers the pain to someone else.

I remember his commercials. He preceded the "Texas Hammer" Jim Adler.

That is very sad news and very painful for that family.

Ambulance chaser. Obnoxious commercials.

But I pray for anyone who loses a child.

Suicide is a pernanent solution to a temporary problem!
I have worked so many suicides throughout my career, always those that are left behind that bear the heaviest burden!

I know people who worked for him in his local office. Many people get ripped off by insurance companies with minor traffic accidents, "sign here" type stuff. Loncar served a purpose for helping the poor guy keep from getting ripped off. He certainly was not the Perry Mason of the legal world but he did provide a useful service and I feel sorry for his family in their double loss.

Very sad. The family issued a well written statement regarding their pain they are going through right now. Losing 2 family members in 1 week is horrible. My condolences to the family and I hope they can find peace somehow in these tragedies.
Just some guy's opinion.

:iagree: My kid sister took her life 42 years ago, at age 24, after her husband was killed on their Motorcycle. My mother never got over it. Beverly was a hoot, I still think of her.
